Pascal Gedeon, Child Pornography Distribution, Pennsylvania 2024

PHILADELPHIA – A grim day in the courtroom as Pascal Gedeon, 31, from Philadelphia, was locked away for nearly 14 years after being convicted of distributing and attempting to distribute child pornography.

The defendant, identified by United States Attorney David Metcalf, faced a sentence of 165 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release. Gedeon’s misdeeds were exposed when he pleaded guilty to two counts of distribution and attempted distribution, charges stemming from the posting of thousands of graphic images and 14 videos of children being sexually exploited on his Tumblr blog.

“younger-are-the-best,” was the chilling moniker Gedeon used to perpetuate his sickening activities. He not only shared these monstrous depictions but also engaged in dark conversations with fellow users, swapping even more sinister images.

Beyond the digital realm, Gedeon’s guilt was confirmed when he confessed to sharing child pornography on various other online platforms, a chilling testament to his depravity.

This case, which unfolded under the ominous shadow of Project Safe Childhood, a federal initiative combating child sexual exploitation, is another victory for law enforcement. Assistant United States Attorneys Eileen Castilla Geiger and Kelly Harrell led the prosecution against Gedeon, with the FBI’s diligent investigation providing the foundation for this conviction.

Project Safe Childhood, since its inception in 2006, has been relentless in identifying, apprehending, and bringing to justice those who exploit children through the internet. For more information on this critical effort, visit projectsafechildhood.gov.
