CONCORD, NH – Corey Buckley, 42, formerly of Plaistow, New Hampshire, is staring down a federal sentence after admitting to running a significant cocaine operation. Buckley pleaded guilty today to possession with intent to distribute cocaine, a charge brought forth by United States Attorney Jane E. Young.
The bust, stemming from a months-long investigation, culminated in a raid on Buckley’s Plaistow residence in May 2022. Law enforcement sources confirm investigators weren’t messing around – they were acting on solid leads pointing to large-scale drug trafficking. What they found wasn’t small potatoes.
Inside the kitchen, authorities discovered approximately 1.1 kilograms of pure cocaine. But the drugs weren’t the only evidence of a criminal enterprise. The search also yielded a drug ledger, a scale for weighing the product, a staggering $50,000 in cash, and two firearms – a clear indication Buckley wasn’t just a user.
“This wasn’t some low-level street dealer,” a source close to the investigation told Grimy Times. “Buckley was moving serious weight and profiting handsomely. He clearly wasn’t shy about flaunting his ill-gotten gains.” Buckley has remained in federal custody since his arrest following the execution of the search warrant.
The investigation was a collaborative effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Massachusetts State Police, and the Haverhill Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Charles L. Rombeau is leading the prosecution, with Assistant United States Attorney Robert Rabuck handling the complex forfeiture proceedings related to the seized cash and assets.
Buckley is scheduled to be sentenced on May 18, 2023. Expect a substantial prison term. This case serves as a stark reminder that federal authorities are aggressively targeting drug traffickers and dismantling their operations, no matter how well hidden.
