PORTLAND, Ore.—A shocking incident near a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office has landed Oriana Korol, 38, in federal court today after she unleashed a brute-force attack on a federal officer.
Korol’s first appearance was marked by her violent assault of the lawman, which included kicks and bites during her detention after interfering with an arrest. The charges don’t stop there; she’s been hit with felony counts for assaulting a federal officer.
Documents reveal that on October 12, 2025, Korol’s actions caused chaos as she attempted to hinder the officers’ duties. She’s not alone in her transgressions against the ICE building, either. Since June 13, 2025, the U.S. Attorney’s Office has charged 34 defendants with federal offenses ranging from assaulting federal officers to failure to comply and government property depredation.
As Korol awaited her fate in court, she was released on conditions while awaiting further proceedings. Her offense carries a heavy penalty—up to eight years in federal prison for the felony assault charge.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement daily and the severity of violence directed toward them. A criminal complaint is merely an accusation, but Korol will need to prove her innocence if she hopes to avoid punishment.
