Brady Makes Room For Them, Failure to Register, South Dakota 2025

United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell has announced the sentencing of Brady Makes Room For Them to two years in federal prison for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. The 40-year-old Rapid City, South Dakota resident faced justice on August 18, 2025, when U.S. District Judge Camela C. Theeler imposed the sentence.

Makes Room For Them was indicted by a federal grand jury in April 2025 and pleaded guilty on June 2, 2025. The defendant’s history includes prior convictions for Abusive Sexual Contact in September 2005 and repeated violations of sex offender registration laws in 2012, 2018, and 2023.

In December 2024, Makes Room For Them updated his sex offender registration after relocating from his registered address on March 6, 2025. However, he neglected to update his registration as required. He was subsequently arrested in Rapid City on March 20, 2025.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kirk Albertson prosecuted the case, and the investigation was conducted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Rapid City Police Department.

Makes Room For Them has been ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund and will serve five years of supervised release following his prison term. He has been remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service immediately after sentencing.
