Rashawn Fowler, Methamphetamine Distribution, Indiana 2020

SOUTH BEND – A South Bend man has been sentenced to 121 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation.

Rashawn Fowler, 34, was sentenced by United States District Court Chief Judge Jon E. DeGuilio after pleading guilty to distribution of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, announced United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.

Fowler was sentenced to 121 months in prison followed by 4 years of supervised release.

According to documents in the case, during the summer of 2020, Fowler sold more than half a pound of methamphetamine during a series of controlled buys.

In August of 2020, investigators arrested Fowler and recovered more than half a pound of methamphetamine, heroin, assorted pills, digital scales, a revolver, and a loaded 9-millimeter pistol.

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joel Gabrielse.

Fowler will serve his sentence in a federal prison, followed by four years of supervised release. His guilty plea and subsequent sentencing are a result of an investigation into his methamphetamine distribution operation.

The case serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against methamphetamine trafficking in the region.
