Roxanne Carter Pleads Guilty to Federal Charges
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – In a shocking turn of events, Roxanne Carter, 36, has pleaded guilty to multiple federal charges. According to our sources, Carter conspired to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine in Orleans Parish.
As part of her plea deal, Carter faces up to 20 years imprisonment, up to a $1,000,000 fine, and at least 3 years of supervised release for Counts one, two, and three. For Count four, she faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years and up to life imprisonment to run consecutive to any other sentence, up to a $250,000 fine, and up to 5 years of supervised release. For Count five, Carter faces up to 15 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to 3 years of supervised release.
Additionally, Carter pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and being a felon in possession of a firearm. This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in New Orleans.
