Troy Darnell McFall, a 54-year-old Harrisburg, PA, man, has been sentenced to 33 months in prison for failing to register as a sex offender. McFall was convicted in 2005 of Aggravated Indecent Assault, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Indecent Assault, and Corruption of Minors in Pennsylvania state court. As a result, he was required to register as a sex offender under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). However, between December and July 2025, McFall traveled in interstate commerce without updating his sex-offender registration.
The United States Marshals Service investigated the case, which was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael Scalera. The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
McFall’s sentence of 33 months in prison and five years of supervised release was handed down by United States District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson.
