Christopher Hill, a 43-year-old man from Yazoo City, pleaded guilty to stealing $116,893 in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. The crime occurred between August 2022 and November 2023, with Hill exploiting his sister’s job as a Customer Service Representative for Conduent, a company that processes EBT payments for the state. Hill’s sister had access to the system, which he used to unlawfully acquire and use the benefits.
Hill is the third sibling to plead guilty to the crime, following his brother Adrian Hill, who was sentenced to five years’ probation with one year of home confinement in February 2026, and his sister Kizzie Hill, who is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in December 2025. The trio’s actions have resulted in a significant loss of funds intended to support low-income families in need of food assistance.
The United States Department of Agriculture Office of the Inspector General investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberly T. Purdie prosecuting. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi announced the guilty plea, with United States Attorney Baxter Kruger and United States Department of Agriculture Inspector General John Walk making the announcement.
Hill will be sentenced on August 21, 2026, and faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. The sentence will be determined by a federal district court judge, who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
