A Polish national was caught sneaking photos of top-secret US military installations in Nevada – and now he’s facing the music. Michal Miroslaw Rokita, 34, was sentenced to time served for photographing and video-recording vital US military installations and aircraft, equipment, and operations without permission.
Between April 7 and April 14, 2026, Rokita snapped photos of installations and equipment at the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) and the Tonopah Test Range (TTR). These installations are designated as vital military installations under federal law.
Rokita shared the stolen photos and videos with a US citizen who operates a website called DreamlandResort.com. He even participated in a livestream event on YouTube, showing off his illicit snaps.
Rokita’s crimes were uncovered after he met with a collaborator in Las Vegas to discuss the content of the livestream. He pleaded guilty to two counts of photographing defense installations without authorization and publication of photographs of defense installations without authorization.
