A 22-year-old Fort Polk soldier is facing federal charges after telling fellow Discord users he’d slaughter Jewish people in a Louisiana synagogue.
Jakob Marcoulier, a Private First Class stationed at Fort Polk, allegedly made the threats in February 2026, boasting he’d walk into a synagogue with a high-capacity AK and a body armor ensemble.
FBI agents swiftly acted on a tip from a concerned citizen, securing recorded audio of Marcoulier’s chilling statements.
The US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana has charged Marcoulier with transmitting a threat in interstate commerce, a crime punishable by up to 5 years in federal prison.
