ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man, Tracy Jenkins, 59, has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The disturbing revelations came as part of a federal investigation that exposed the predator’s decades-long campaign of sexual abuse against at least eight young victims.
Jenkins confessed to sexually abusing five children, recording the acts, and distributing the videos online since 2022. His plea agreement identifies three other victims, including one who was just six years old when the abuse began. The defendant offered favors such as food, money, clothing, and other valuable items to some of his underage prey.
The FBI’s Crimes Against Children and Human Trafficking Unit traced one of the victims back to Jenkins, leading to a swift operation that resulted in the defendant’s arrest. Agents searched Jenkins’ home, uncovering thousands of files with child pornography on multiple electronic devices. They also discovered nearly 200 videos showing Jenkins’ sexual abuse of the minors, including footage spanning seconds to over an hour.
Jenkins has been producing these videos since at least 2013 and was present with one victim the day before agents executed their search warrant. Additionally, a stolen Sarsilmaz 9mm pistol, linked to St. Louis County, was found in Jenkins’ possession, despite his status as a convicted felon and firearm ban.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson plans to seek a 40-year sentence for Jenkins at his December sentencing hearing. The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, the Justice Department’s initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. For more information on this initiative, visit www.justice.gov/psc.
