Drug trafficking is a violent activity, often involving firearms. As Attorney General Jeff Sessions noted, drug dealers often use guns to protect their products and cash, and enforce their operations. This case highlights the importance of addressing violent crime and drug trafficking in our communities.
The indictment alleges that Emery knowingly and intentionally conspired with others to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine between June 2016 and May 9, 2018. The charges are merely accusations, and Emery is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
