A Tulsa couple, Ryan Leon French, 47, and Lexie Renne French, 44, have been sentenced for coercing a minor child into having sex and recording it in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The couple’s disturbing crimes came to light in March 2025, when Lexie reported to the Muscogee Creek Nation Lighthorse Police Department that her husband was attempting to blackmail her. However, as law enforcement and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) began investigating, Lexie’s story changed, and she eventually admitted to participating in the coercion of a minor child.
Court documents revealed that both Ryan and Lexie admitted to persuading and coercing a minor child to engage in sexually explicit conduct and recording it. Ryan even told law enforcement that he could view and save the sexual acts through a home security system. The FBI and the Muscogee Creek Nation Lighthorse Police Department investigated the case, with assistance from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
U.S. District Judge Rodney W. Sippel sentenced Ryan to 365 months’ imprisonment for Production of Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography, while Lexie was sentenced to 240 months’ imprisonment for Production of Child Pornography. Both will be required to register as sex offenders and will be supervised for life upon their release. They were also ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sex abuse and exploitation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kate Brandon and Melody Nelson prosecuted the case, ensuring that justice was served for the victim.
