A notorious San Francisco meth dealer, Kiet Ly, 46, just got slapped with a 10-year federal prison sentence for peddling the dirty stuff and packing heat. Ly was caught with 117 grams of meth and a loaded Glock pistol on July 19, 2025.
The bust went down when law enforcement searched the car Ly was driving, and the Glock pistol was loaded with seven bullets. This isn’t Ly’s first rodeo with the law – he’d previously been convicted of a felony meth offense in 2016.
Ly pleaded guilty on December 10, 2025, to possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm and ammunition as a felon. He’ll spend 10 years behind bars, followed by a four-year supervised release period.
Senior U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer handed down the sentence, which includes one year for supervised release violations to be served concurrently.
