A Waterbury man is facing life in prison after getting pinched for cocaine trafficking and gun crimes in Brattleboro, Vermont. Joshua Bedard, 38, was arrested on May 12, 2026, after cops spotted him dealing coke in the area at least twice in April.
When Bedard was busted, he was driving a rental vehicle that contained 400 grams of cocaine and a loaded revolver. The Vermont Drug Task Force, FBI, and other agencies were hot on his trail for months.
Cops say Bedard was involved in the distribution of cocaine and cocaine base in the greater Brattleboro area, and his arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation by the Vermont Drug Task Force, FBI Vermont, the FBI’s Western Massachusetts Gang Task Force, the Brattleboro Police Department, and the Hartford Police Department.
Bedard’s attorney is the Office of the Federal Public Defender, and the case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joshua L. Banker.
