Waukesha, WI – Cornelius M. Jackson, a 35-year-old Waukesha resident, was today sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, for his involvement in sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.
United States Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad announced the sentence, which comes after Jackson’s conviction on four counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. Judge Brett Ludwig emphasized the severity of Jackson’s crimes, noting that he had subjected many young women to mental and physical torture over a six-year period, including instances of strangulation.
‘The sentence reflects the relentless harm Mr. Jackson inflicted on his victims,’ Haanstad stated. ‘We are committed to pursuing justice for those who displayed strength in ensuring their stories were heard.’
Milwaukee FBI Special Agent in Charge Michael E. Hensle highlighted the ongoing fight against sex trafficking in Wisconsin, stating that the FBI remains dedicated to preventing such crimes and bringing perpetrators like Jackson to justice.
Attorney General Josh Kaul echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the need for severe consequences for human traffickers. ‘Thank you to all who worked together to secure this sentence,’ he said.
This case was investigated by the FBI and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation, with assistance from several local law enforcement agencies. Assistant United States Attorneys Erica J. Lounsberry and Abbey M. Marzick prosecuted the case.
