GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Levi Edward Hamilton, 23, from the small town of Mansfield, Tennessee, is locked away for a quarter-century after being caught in a chilling web of online child exploitation. The West Tennessee man was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison by United States District Judge S. Thomas Anderson following his guilty plea on two counts of production of child pornography.
HAMILTON’S SICKENING CRIME: Hamilton, using a fraudulent Instagram account, lured unsuspecting victims into providing sexually explicit images and videos of minor children. The FBI Memphis Child Exploitation Task Force and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office were instrumental in cracking this despicable scheme.
THE HARD-HITTING CHARGES: Facing a laundry list of offenses, Hamilton was charged with five counts of production of child pornography, five counts of coercion and enticement of a minor, five counts of receipt of child pornography, three counts of transferring obscene material to a minor, and one count of possessing child pornography. His plea deal covered just two of these heinous acts.
NO CHANCE OF PAROLE: The sentence handed down by Judge Anderson also mandates five years of supervised release after Hamilton’s prison term. Federal sentences have no parole option, ensuring the perpetrator remains behind bars for his entire term.
PROSECUTING THE CASE: Assistant United States Attorney Josh Morrow was the government’s advocate in this case, ensuring justice was served on behalf of the victims and the community.
