A lethal fentanyl factory in Louisville, Kentucky, has been shut down for good, thanks to a 31-year prison sentence for Thomas Gunter.
Gunter, a repeat offender with a violent past, orchestrated the operation, which pushed massive quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine onto the city’s streets.
He was often armed with a handgun, and his ring’s reach was significant, with sales spanning multiple months.
But it was the FBI and Louisville Metro Police Department’s tireless work that brought Gunter to justice, securing a multi-count conviction after a week-long trial.
Now, Gunter will spend over three decades behind bars, a sentence that reflects the gravity of his crimes and the devastating impact they had on the community.
