Omaha Man Gets 10 Years for Methamphetamine Charge

A 48-year-old Omaha man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a methamphetamine charge.

Aaron Cardinale, 48, of Omaha, was sentenced to 120 months’ imprisonment by Chief United States District Judge Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to authorities, Cardinale was stopped for a traffic violation in South Omaha on July 27, 2022. During the stop, officers became suspicious of illegal activity and called for a canine that alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from within the vehicle Cardinale was driving.

A search of the vehicle revealed 87 grams of actual methamphetamine. Cardinale’s case was investigated by the Omaha Police Department.

After his release from prison, Cardinale will begin a 5-year term of supervised release, with no parole in the federal system.
