Wilmer Ulvin Aguilar-Miranda, a 30-year-old Guatemalan national, is facing charges for unlawful reentry into the United States. Aguilar-Miranda was previously removed from the country in March 2013 and now finds himself back in trouble with federal law enforcement.
The charges against Aguilar-Miranda were announced by the U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson during the August Federal Grand Jury 2024-B Indictments. The ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Dallas Field Office is leading the investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara Heign handling the prosecution.
According to the indictment, Aguilar-Miranda has been charged under 25-CR-308 with Unlawful Reentry of a Removed Alien. If convicted, he faces significant federal penalties for crossing the border in violation of his removal status.
Additionally, three Tulsa-area residents are facing serious charges after being indicted on carjacking and related offenses. Christopher Ray Barrett, 40, Jessica Marie Johnson, 37, and Katelyn Mary LeBlanc, 27, have been charged with taking a vehicle by force and conspiring to tamper with witnesses and victims.
Barrett is also accused of brandishing a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and possessing a firearm and ammunition despite having previous felony convictions. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Tulsa Police Department are investigating this case, which has been assigned to Assistant U.S. Attorneys Mike Flesher and Jessica Wright.
Joshua Lee Cornog, 43, from Commerce, is accused of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute over 500 grams. The Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are involved in this investigation, which Assistant U.S. Attorney Niko Boulieris is prosecuting.
