A former Latrobe man was sentenced for supplying methamphetamine to a Pagans-affiliated drug organization, according to authorities.
Alan Masecar, 35, of Latrobe, was sentenced to 51 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release by District Judge Robert J. Colville.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Postal Inspection Service, Drug Enforcement Administration, Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, and Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General Bureau of Narcotics Investigations conducted a long-term investigation into drug-trafficking activity occurring in the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Law enforcement identified several individuals, suspected at the time, of illegally distributing controlled substances, including methamphetamine in Allegheny, Westmoreland, Erie, Fayette, and Washington Counties.
Masecar, aka Max, was identified as a methamphetamine source of supply for co-defendant Zachary Miller, a former member of the Jeannette Chapter of the Pagans Motorcycle Club.
In December 2019, Postal Inspectors seized a package addressed to Masecar, containing methamphetamine. Investigators also identified communications between Miller and Masecar via Facebook messenger, wherein they discussed their continued efforts to obtain large quantities of methamphetamine.
Assistant United States Attorney Rebecca L. Silinski is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
United States Attorney Cindy K. Chung commended the agencies involved in the investigation.
This sentencing was the result of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation.
OCDETF uses a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach that leverages the strengths of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies against criminal networks.
