An Atlanta man spent years terrorizing two young victims while stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. Adam Schlueter, 39, abused the minors physically and sexually between 2009 and 2013.
According to court testimony, Schlueter choked, beat, and dangled one of the minors from a second-story window when he was just eight years old. He also sexually assaulted both victims when they were under 10.
Schlueter used his position to threaten his victims and silence them from reporting the abuse. On April 17, 2026, a federal jury convicted him of two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor under 12.
Prosecutors said Schlueter’s actions were a betrayal of the public’s trust. ‘He exploited a position of power to commit horrific abuse against vulnerable children,’ said FBI Special Agent Marlo Graham.
