Damion Barnett Busted for Massive DC Meth Trafficking Ring
In a shocking blow to the nation’s capital, Damion Barnett, 35, was arrested and charged with leading a massive methamphetamine trafficking ring in Washington D.C.
According to federal prosecutors, Barnett’s operation, which spanned several years, brought in millions of dollars in revenue and distributed massive quantities of methamphetamine to users across the D.C. area.
As part of the massive investigation, authorities seized over $1 million in cash, multiple firearms, and several kilograms of methamphetamine. The operation also resulted in the arrest of multiple co-conspirators, who have been charged in connection with the case.
Barnett’s arrest marks a significant victory for federal authorities, who have been working tirelessly to dismantle the city’s methamphetamine trade. ‘This case is a prime example of the dangers of methamphetamine trafficking and the devastating impact it has on our communities,’ said a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The case against Barnett began in 2025, when a federal grand jury indicted him on multiple counts of conspiracy, distribution of methamphetamine, and money laundering. Barnett is currently being held without bail at the D.C. Jail, pending trial.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed that Barnett’s trial is set to begin in the coming months. The full list of charges against Barnett includes:
