St. Louis Felon Admits to Possessing Guns Three Times

A St. Louis felon has admitted to being caught by police three times with a gun, violating his status as a convicted felon.

Damon L. Foster, 41, pleaded guilty to two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm in a federal court on Thursday.

The charges stem from three separate incidents. On Jan. 1, 2024, Foster was caught after a high-speed chase in a stolen Ford F-250 truck. Foster discarded a 9mm pistol with a 33-round capacity during the chase, which took place in a park. He also had a pouch clipped to his chest containing fentanyl and methamphetamine.

On May 15, 2024, Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department officers spotted Foster on an unregistered motorcycle. He resisted officers but was arrested, and a 9mm pistol was found in his pocket.

In the third incident, on Sept. 7, 2024, police responding to a call about squatters spotted Foster with a silver .22-caliber revolver.

Foster is a convicted felon and is thus barred from possessing a firearm. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 22.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office and Foster’s lawyer have agreed to recommend a 70-month prison sentence.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence.
