A California man has been charged with conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine in violation of federal law. Daniel Stephen Wray, 34, was charged in a one-count indictment by a federal grand jury on March 24, 2023.

Wray, a resident of Chula Vista, California, is accused of conspiring with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine in Louisiana. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Louisiana State Police.

The prosecution is being handled by Assistant United States Attorney J. Benjamin Myers of the Narcotics Unit. U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans reiterated that the indictment is merely a charging document and that the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
