Two East Pierce County residents have pleaded guilty in a shocking dark web drug operation that spanned across Washington. Trevor Stephen Haahr, 34, of Puyallup, and Kaeli Arielle Albert, 35, of Orting, are facing up to 40 years in prison after admitting to distributing over 100,000 fentanyl-laced pills.
The dark web marketplace they operated was a haven for drug dealers, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The investigation began when law enforcement identified Haahr as the mastermind behind the operation. He was caught mailing more than 10,000 fentanyl pills and was linked to numerous meetings with Albert where cash and drugs were exchanged.
Law enforcement executed search warrants at both Haahr’s and Albert’s properties, uncovering substantial drug proceeds, including over $23,000 in cash from Albert’s home. The seized bitcoin, worth an estimated $50,000 at the time of seizure, will be forfeited by Haahr as proceeds of his illegal activities.
Assistant United States Attorneys Brian Wynne and Casey Conzatti are handling the prosecution, with sentences set to be handed down on December 18, 2025. Both defendants have pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges, and Haahr also faces possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute. The case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, FBI, and Homeland Security Investigations.
Judge Tiffany M. Cartwright will ultimately decide their sentences but is bound only by the law’s dictates. This case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by the dark web and the relentless pursuit of justice by federal agencies.
