A Davenport man is headed to prison after a wild chase through the streets. Ricky Edward Kirk, 39, was sentenced to 137 months for possessing a firearm as a felon.
It all went down in July 2024 when Kirk took off on foot during a traffic stop. Cops recovered a gun from his waistband after a Taser takedown.
Kirk’s rap sheet is long, including a 2022 conviction for possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine. He was on parole at the time of this offense.
Now, Kirk will serve 11+ years behind bars, followed by three years of supervised release.
