In a shocking turn of events, a Dennison, Ohio woman has been accused of unlawful firearm possession, leaving authorities stunned.
According to sources, 24-year-old Erin Marie Rudolph was arraigned on the charge after being indicted by a federal grand jury in Wheeling, West Virginia. The indictment was handed down on June 6, 2017.
Rudolph, who has a previous felony conviction in the Circuit Court of Ohio County, allegedly possessed a .22 caliber pistol with an obliterated serial number on May 10, 2017, in Ohio County.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen L. Vogrin is leading the prosecution in this high-profile case, with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the West Virginia State Police conducting the investigation.
This is not the first time Rudolph has been in the headlines. Her previous felony conviction raises concerns about her ability to handle firearms responsibly.
The indictment serves as a stark reminder that owning a firearm comes with great responsibility and the consequences of breaking the law can be severe.
An indictment is merely an accusation, and Rudolph is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The case will be presided over by U.S. Magistrate Judge James E. Seibert.
