James Johnson, Cocaine Trafficking, Massachusetts 2020

⏱ 2 min read

A Boston-area fugitive, notorious for his brazen disregard for U.S. law, has been caught at the border for the fourth time. Wilson Radhames Peguero Brea, 56, was indicted by a federal grand jury in February 2026, for reentering the United States after being deported three previous times.

Peguero’s history of crime dates back to 1997, when he was convicted of drug trafficking under an alias tied to a U.S. citizen victim. He’s been removed from the country not once, not twice, but three times since, only to return, leaving a trail of deceit and destruction in his wake.

Not content to rest on his laurels, Peguero continued to commit crimes, including aggravated identity theft and wire fraud in 2021, for which he was convicted and sentenced to over two years in federal prison in 2023.

ICE officials apprehended Peguero on February 5, 2026, while he was attempting to pass himself off with a false identity.
