A 23-year-old ex-Fort Hood resident, Gilbert Andrew Longoria, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for running a child pornography ring on social media. Longoria posed as a 15-year-old male on Instagram and Snapchat to lure underage girls into sending him nude photos.
According to investigators, Longoria maintained an online relationship with a 14-year-old girl for several months, exchanging nude photos with her. He also admitted to possessing around 70 images of child pornography.
Longoria was arrested on June 5, 2025, and pleaded guilty to the charge on December 16, 2025. U.S. District Judge Alan Albright presided over the case.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division. Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Gloff prosecuted the case as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation.
