Tino Pierre, a 25-year-old New Orleans man, has been indicted for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The crime occurred on April 8, 2026, in the Eastern District of Louisiana, where Pierre was found with a gun despite being a previously convicted felon. Pierre’s prior convictions, which are punishable by imprisonment for over a year, bar him from possessing firearms. The investigation was led by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the New Orleans Police Department.
Pierre faces serious penalties, including a maximum of 15 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, three years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment cost. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Duane A. Evans of the General Crimes Unit.
