A 29-year-old Lebanon man is headed to prison for 65 months after getting caught with a loaded gun in his car. Robert Beaumont was busted by state police in February 2026 after a report of a man slumped over the wheel of a black Nissan.
When police arrived, they found Beaumont asleep in the driver’s seat, with loose heroin on the passenger seat. A search of the vehicle turned up a loaded SCCY CPX-2 9mm pistol under the driver’s seat, as well as heroin, methamphetamine, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Beaumont had previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in 2020, making him ineligible to possess a firearm.
Assistant United States Attorney Michael Scalera prosecuted the case, with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducting the investigation.
