Cincinnati, Ohio – In a chilling display of brazen disregard for the law, Robert Isham, 41, was caught on the streets of Hamilton with a loaded semi-automatic handgun clutched in his hand on August 20, 2024.
According to eyewitnesses, Isham suddenly walked into the middle of a busy street, disrupting traffic flow. When approached by officers, he took off on foot, pulling out the handgun and tossing it as he fled. He was eventually tased and taken into custody without incident.
Isham’s rap sheet boasts multiple felony convictions, including aggravated robbery and domestic violence. His 10-year stint in state prison should have been enough to scare him straight, but apparently not.
As a convicted felon, Isham is strictly forbidden from possessing firearms or ammunition. His sentence of 51 months in federal prison is a stern reminder that the laws are in place for a reason.
The investigation was a joint effort between the Cincinnati Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). U.S. Attorney Dominick S. Gerace II, along with Special Agent in Charge Jorge Rosendo and Cincinnati Police Interim Chief Adam Hennie, announced the verdict imposed by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Susan J. Dlott.
