A fentanyl kingpin has been brought to justice in Cincinnati. Myron Nichols, 29, was sentenced to 80 months in federal prison for fentanyl and firearms crimes.

Nichols was driving a stolen vehicle when he fled from Cincinnati police officers in November 2024. The defendant was later apprehended after a short pursuit, and a pistol was found in his jacket pocket.

A search of the stolen vehicle uncovered distribution quantities of fentanyl and fentanyl mixture in the center console area. Nichols was arrested in July 2025 and pleaded guilty in October 2025.

Nichols’ crimes put the community at risk, and his sentence reflects the severity of his actions. The agencies involved in the case include the Cincinnati Police Department, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio.
