A 66-year-old Jamestown man has been sentenced to time served for his role in a massive fentanyl conspiracy. Brian Cessna, also known as ‘Mr. Fentanyl,’ bought and sold heroin and fentanyl for profit and his own use, supplying a local network of users and dealers.
Prosecutors say Cessna worked closely with co-conspirator Holly Berenguer, who got her supply from a man known as ‘Joey Cracks.’ The duo used Cessna’s Fairview Avenue residence as a hub for their operation, selling the deadly narcotics to users and collecting payments.
Cessna’s sentencing comes on the heels of convictions for Berenguer and ‘Joey Cracks.’ The case was part of a larger effort to take down transnational cartels and protect communities from violent crime.
The investigation was led by the Jamestown Police Department, with assistance from the DEA and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti handled the case.
