A fugitive sex offender from Missouri was caught in Eastern Kentucky with two guns and a penchant for firing them. Clinton Everett Hahn, 52, had absconded from Missouri and was living in a makeshift camp in Clay County when the Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force tracked him down.
Hahn, a registered sex offender since a 1999 conviction for Statutory Rape, Second Degree, had also racked up felony convictions for Distributing a Controlled Substance to a Minor and Assault 2nd Degree.
Upon arrest, Hahn confessed to firing both guns in the week leading up to his capture. The U.S. Marshal’s Service led the investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Parman touting the collaboration between local, state, and federal agencies as key to making the community safer.
Hahn faces 45 months in prison for being a felon in possession of firearms. His record makes him a prime example of the dangers of letting violent offenders fall through the cracks.
