Boston – Jason Bly, a feared member of the H-Block gang, has been sentenced to two years in prison for drug conspiracy. The 44-year-old Quincy resident pleaded guilty to distributing cocaine and crack cocaine. H-Block, once known as the Humboldt Raiders, is one of Boston’s most notorious street gangs with a violent history.
Bly was among 10 gang members charged following a multi-year investigation into H-Block’s drug operations. Over 500 grams of cocaine, crack, and fentanyl were seized during the probe. Bly supplied fellow gang member Avery Lewis with a quarter kilogram of cocaine, court documents show.
Before his drug conspiracy conviction, Bly had a rap sheet that included attempted assault and battery with a firearm. He was also convicted of assaulting someone with hot coffee while on probation, according to court records.
Boston’s U.S. Attorney Leah Foley and other federal law enforcement officials announced the sentencing. The investigation was part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), which targets high-level criminal organizations.
While Bly’s case is closed, Lewis received a 46-month sentence earlier this year. Other gang members await their fates as the ongoing probe into H-Block continues to unravel.
