A menacing man from Wayne County, Missouri, took aim at Social Security Administration employees in late 2025, leaving a trail of terror in his wake. Timothy Wells Stevens, 57, went on a verbal rampage, threatening to ‘blow up every (expletive) office around here’ if he didn’t receive payments.
On October 1, 2025, Stevens called an SSA employee in Pennsylvania, ranting that he was due payments, and if not, he’d ‘comin’ gunning’ for them. The employee took the threat seriously, and Stevens’ response was anything but reassuring.
Thirty minutes later, Stevens called again, this time reaching an SSA employee in California. This time, his threat was even more sinister, vowing to ‘hunting every last one of you (expletives) down and I’m gonna blow you up’ if he had to sell his home and live on the streets.
Stevens’ verbal gun-violence continued, with investigators interviewing him on October 9, 2025, confirming it was indeed his voice on the recorded call with the California employee.
Now, Stevens is facing the music, scheduled to be sentenced on July 28, 2024, with up to 5 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both.
