HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – In a stunning turn of events, Robert Curtis Denham, known in the streets as ‘Reala Deala’ and ‘RD,’ pleaded guilty today to the heinous crime of distributing fentanyl.

According to court documents and statements made during the hearing, on October 30, 2024, Denham sold a significant quantity of the deadly drug to an undercover informant within a Huntington apartment. The plea deal revealed that Denham not only conducted the transaction but also arranged it beforehand, indicating his role as a mastermind in the local drug trade.

Denham’s criminal conduct did not end there; he admitted to being responsible for additional quantities of fentanyl, further solidifying his role as a significant player in West Virginia’s drug underworld. Scheduled for sentencing on October 20, 2025, Denham faces a severe penalty, including up to 20 years in federal prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a monetary fine of $1 million.

Lisa G. Johnston, Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia, announced the plea and commended the tireless efforts of the Huntington Violent Crime and Drug Task Force and the Huntington Police Department in bringing Denham to justice.

The case was presided over by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers, with Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie Taylor handling the prosecution.
