Michigan Man Charged for Possessing 900 Oxycodone Pills in Ohio
A federal grand jury has returned a one-count indictment charging James E. Wilson, age 42, of Rochester, Michigan, with possession with the intent to distribute approximately 900 pills of Oxycodone.
The indictment alleges that Wilson was arrested on December 9, 2013, by the Stark Metro Drug Task Force during the execution of a search warrant at Wilson’s hotel room. The search warrant yielded approximately 900 pills of Oxycodone which Wilson had brought to Ohio for sale, according to the indictment.
The indictment resulted from an investigation conducted by the DEA assisted by the Stark Metro Drug Task Force, Jackson Township Police Department, Canton Police Department, Stark County Sheriff’s Office, and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Teresa Dirksen.
James E. Wilson, 42, of Rochester, Michigan, faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute approximately 900 pills of Oxycodone.
According to the indictment, Wilson had brought the oxycodone pills to Ohio for sale, and the search warrant executed by the Stark Metro Drug Task Force yielded the evidence.
Wilson is currently facing charges, and if convicted, his sentence will be determined by the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including his prior criminal record, if any, his role in the offenses, and the unique characteristics of the violations.
