Kendal ‘KD’ White Charged with Kidnapping, Missouri 2023

ST. LOUIS – A harrowing crime has shaken the community in St. Louis County, Missouri, as two men have admitted to kidnapping a toddler in a twisted attempt to recover missing firearms.

Kendal ‘KD’ White, 20, of St. Charles, pleaded guilty Monday in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of kidnapping. Cam’Ron Henderson, 20, of St. Louis, pleaded guilty to the same charge on August 11.

According to court documents, White believed that the father of the kidnapping victim, a 2-year-old, had taken firearms and other items from him. On August 10, 2023, White, Henderson and others began looking for the man and eventually found their way to the victim’s mother’s apartment in St. Louis County.

When the mother did not answer the door, White and Henderson kicked it in, both armed. After learning that their quarry was not in the apartment, White demanded that the mother turn over her daughter. She refused, and White struck her in the head with his gun multiple times before grabbing the toddler from her arms.

The kidnappers fled with the girl, and the victim’s mother called police. An Amber Alert was issued, and the kidnappers soon learned that their Hyundai Elantra was being sought by authorities. In a bizarre twist, White paid three women to return the toddler to her uncle’s home.

The kidnapping charge carries a penalty of at least 20 years in prison. Henderson is scheduled to be sentenced on December 2, while White is set to face sentencing on January 27. The St. Louis County Police and the FBI investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Szczucinski prosecuting the case.
