United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods dropped a hammer on drug kingpin Vincent James Foster, 27, of Lincoln, Nebraska, announcing a decade-long prison sentence for his involvement in a massive drug ring.
Foster was handed down a 120-months’ imprisonment sentence by United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis on August 21, 2025, for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, along with unspecified amounts of marijuana and tetrahydrocannabinols. The sentence also accounted for Foster being a felon in possession of eight firearms, a crime he had committed despite prior felony convictions for burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
Law enforcement’s investigation revealed Foster’s hand in selling drugs in the Lincoln area from April 11, 2021, to August 10, 2023. On that fateful day, authorities executed a search warrant at Foster’s residence, unearthing over 828 grams of cocaine, 1.8 kilograms of marijuana, and 86 THC concentrate containers, along with other drug distribution evidence.
The bust also netted $5,597.00 in U.S. currency from Foster’s car and home, which he was forced to forfeit to the United States of America. Adding insult to injury, two of the eight handguns found at the scene were stolen, marking another blow to Foster’s arsenal of crime tools.
With a record of prior felony convictions in Lancaster County District Court, Foster had been prohibited from owning firearms. However, his unlawful possession of these weapons was just one more chapter in his criminal saga.
This relentless pursuit of justice was led by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force, who tirelessly worked to bring down Foster and dismantle his drug empire.
