Vincent James Foster, Cocaine and Firearms Violations, Nebraska 2025

GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: In a tough stance against drug trafficking and weapons possession, Vincent James Foster, 27, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced to 120 months’ imprisonment for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and firearms violations. United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced the sentence handed down by United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis on August 21, 2025.

Foster’s criminal enterprise, spanning over two years from April 11, 2021, to August 10, 2023, involved the sale of cocaine, marijuana, and THC in the Lincoln area. During a search warrant executed at his residence on August 10, 2023, investigators discovered more than 828 grams of cocaine, 1.8 kilograms of marijuana, 86 THC concentrate containers, and $5,597.00 in cash, which was seized from Foster’s car and home.

The investigation also turned up eight handguns with magazines and ammunition, two of which were confirmed stolen. Foster, already a convicted felon for burglary in 2017 and possession of a controlled substance in 2021, is prohibited from firearm possession due to his prior convictions.

Following his release, Foster will serve a five-year term of supervised release. His $5,597.00 in forfeited U.S. currency adds to the substantial penalty for his crimes. This case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force, demonstrating the collaborative efforts to combat drug trafficking and weapons violations in the region.

United States Attorney Woods emphasized the importance of this sentence in deterring future criminal activity, stating, ‘Foster’s sentence sends a clear message that we will not tolerate drug trafficking and gun-related crimes in our community. The Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force’s dedication to public safety is commendable.’

With Foster’s sentencing, the Grimy Times continues its commitment to thorough investigative journalism, shining a light on the grim realities of crime in our communities.
