A massive Lubbock, Texas methamphetamine trafficking operation has been dismantled, with its ringleader, Shawn Nichole Zatloukal, sentenced to 14 years in federal prison. Zatloukal and six cohorts were caught peddling massive quantities of meth in the Lubbock area, with some of her co-defendants receiving prison terms of up to 360 months.
The racket was busted in August 2025, when all seven defendants were indicted. Each later pleaded guilty to methamphetamine trafficking charges. The lengthy prison sentences handed down by federal judges serve as a warning to would-be narcotics dealers: in the Northern District of Texas, they’ll face the full weight of the law.
U.S. Attorney Ryan Raybould vowed to continue targeting methamphetamine traffickers, saying, ‘We will be relentless in identifying and prosecuting drug traffickers, as we continue to focus on making the communities in which we live safer.’
The DEA Dallas Special Agent in Charge, Joseph B. Tucker, added, ‘These sentences underscore our commitment to holding drug traffickers accountable for the harm they bring to our communities.’
