Samuel A. Griffith, Methamphetamine Distribution, Ohio 2026

⏱ 2 min read

A massive methamphetamine operation was brought down in Hilliard, Ohio, last October when cops busted a hotel room stash containing over four kilograms of the deadly drug, 800 grams of fentanyl, and a partial kilogram of cocaine.

Samuel A. Griffith, 35, of Ashville, Ohio, ran the operation from a Red Roof Inn hotel room, selling fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine to customers.

Griffith’s customers weren’t the only ones who got a bad deal – when agents executed a search warrant, they found 18 firearms, nearly $40,000 in cash, and a slew of other evidence linking Griffith to the crimes.

Griffith’s prior felony convictions for robbery, aggravated possession of drugs, and having weapons under disability only added to the complexity of the case, as he’s prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.

As part of his guilty plea, Griffith admitted to six federal charges, including distribution of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine, as well as illegally possessing a firearm as a felon.
