A Pinal County man’s sickening habit of sharing child porn online has landed him a 10-year plus sentence. James Stacey Porter, 59, used the BitTorrent network to distribute more than 3,500 images and 175 videos of kids being abused from 2016 to 2017.
Porter was caught after an FBI investigation in 2016 and 2017 found his computer sharing the disgusting files in Phoenix, Arizona. When questioned, he claimed to have been searching for child porn for years and had amassed a massive collection.
Child porn is a slap in the face to the kids being abused, US Attorney Timothy Courchaine said. ‘Every offender in a file sharing network is able to grow their collection exponentially with a click of the button at the expense of the minors depicted.’
Porter’s sickening crimes have earned him a 10-year sentence on top of the 10 years he’s already serving in a separate case for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
