A 43-year-old teacher at Plaza Middle School in Kansas City, MO, was caught in a child exploitation sting, accused of attempting to entice a 15-year-old minor into sex and receive child porn.
Richard Villigram, an English teacher at the school, was charged with one count of Attempted use of Interstate Facility to Entice a Minor to Engage in Illegal Sexual Activity and one count of Attempted Receipt of Child Pornography in a federal complaint filed April 22, 2026.
According to the complaint, Villigram engaged in online communications with an undercover officer posing as a minor over several days, arranging to meet for sex and asking for explicit images.
Villigram was arrested on April 21 after arriving at the meeting location. His phone was seized, revealing text messages with the undercover officer and a third person detailing his plans for sex.
