Oklahoma City Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Fentanyl Trafficking and Felony Firearm Possession
In a shocking turn of events, Reuben Julius Ingram, 44, of Oklahoma City, has been sentenced to serve 180 months in federal prison for his role in fentanyl trafficking and felony firearm possession. Ingram was arrested on August 22, 2023, after a woman reported that he had pointed a firearm at her multiple times and threatened to kill her.
According to public records, Ingram holds multiple prior felony convictions, including trafficking in illegal drugs, domestic assault and battery, and driving while under the influence of alcohol and attempting to elude officers. On January 9, 2024, Ingram pleaded guilty to counts 1 & 2 of the Superseding Indictment, admitting to possessing at least forty grams of fentanyl with the intent to distribute it, and to possessing a firearm despite his criminal history.
The investigation into Ingram’s activities was led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary E. Walters prosecuted the case, which is part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) program to reduce violent crime.
In announcing his sentence, U.S. District Judge Scott L. Palk noted the seriousness of Ingram’s crimes, as well as his history of violence, including domestic violence offenses. Ingram will serve 180 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
