Dock Lee Shoemaker, Sexual Battery, Oklahoma 2025

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Dock Lee Shoemaker, a 61-year-old resident of Calera, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for his failure to register as a sex offender, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The sentence comes after an investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service revealed Shoemaker’s non-compliance with sex offender registration requirements. Shoemaker was convicted of Sexual Battery in the State of Oklahoma on February 3, 2016, and was legally obligated to register as a sex offender. However, from August 2020 until April 16, 2025, he failed to update his registration while entering, leaving, or residing in Indian country within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The hearing was presided over by Honorable Ronald A. White, Chief U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Shoemaker will remain under the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a designated facility of the United States Bureau of Prisons to serve his non-paroleable sentence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessie K. Pippin represented the United States during the proceedings, ensuring that justice was served for Shoemaker’s failure to comply with sex offender registration laws. The case serves as a stark reminder of the serious consequences faced by those who fail to adhere to legal requirements following sexual offenses.
