Tedrick Childs, Cocaine and Methamphetamine Trafficking, Florida 2025

⏱ 2 min read

A notorious Tallahassee dealer, Tedrick Childs, has been caught peddling death on the streets. Between November and December 2025, the 46-year-old was selling cocaine and methamphetamine to undercover DEA agents.

This wasn’t Childs’ first rodeo; he was already on supervised release for a 2017 federal conviction for distribution of cocaine.

But Childs’ latest crimes caught up with him, and he’s now facing up to 30 years in prison for the cocaine count and a minimum of 15 years to life for the methamphetamine count.

The case was part of the Department of Justice’s Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative targeting transnational cartels and organized crime.

Childs’ sentencing is set for July 20, 2026, before Chief Judge Allen C. Winsor in the United States Courthouse in Tallahassee.
